Alan has negotiated and advised on transactions totaling ~$150 Billion, including acquisitions, divestitures, hostile takeover defense and financings. At Qatalyst Partners, he was one of the strongest M&A practitioners and covered a diverse ecosystem of hardware companies and certain software verticals. He helped build Qatalyst semiconductor practice to #1 globally and then initiated new coverage around new technologies (AI, autonomous robotics) and markets (Auto Tech, Industrial Tech).
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Economics from the Wharton School and in Systems Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
